Description

Arthur Rimbaud was a famous French poet who had a great influence on the surrealist movement – a cultural movement best known for its visual artworks and the juxtaposition of distant realities to activate the unconscious mind through the imagery.

Charles Blackman was a great admirer of Rimbaud’s poetry which inspired this painting.
