Born into an illustrious family of artists, painting to Arthur Boyd was as natural – and perhaps as necessary – as breathing. The mark he made on the art world in both Australia and overseas was an exceptional one and he remains one of our most respected and well known artists to date.
For over fifty years, Boyd painted the Australian landscape in its many guises, with aunique richness and vitality in a style distinctly his own. His work is synonymous with the Shoalhaven River area of southern New South Wales. Boyd’s previous home in Bundanon now plays the role of a mecca for art lovers, artists and performers,offering the beauty of its natural landscape to all.
