Brycen Horne is a photographer known for his highly artistic visual style. Born in Sydney in 1978, he began his career at The Sydney Darkroom, hand-printing and processing black and white film. His passion for film was borne after shooting time lapse and video clips with a 16mm Bolex found at a garage sale. He worked as a clapper loader and focus puller before shooting music videos, films and TVCs as a director of photography. His images are inspired by the study of the seasons, the human figure, empty landscapes and the ocean. He uses negative space and long exposure to capture the aesthetic quality of these elements. Horne has had several solo exhibitions and has exhibited in group shows with Bill Henson.
